About Book
The book, “India and Central Asia: Opportunities and Challenges” examines India’s growing ties with the five Central Asian Republics in a broader geostrategic context. It analyses India’s bilateral trade and investment opportunities, oil & gas supplies and closer cooperation in matters of cultural exchange. The book also covers India’s diplomatic challenges highlighting issues of energy security and connectivity given the competing interests of Major Powers in the face of an unstable Afghanistan. It seeks to explore the policy perspectives to secure India’s economic, diplomatic, military and cultural interests in the Central Asian region.
